Latasha Avery

Latasha Avery has 15 years experience in diverse healthcare-related fields, such as biomedical research, healthcare marketing and advertising, and policy. Ms. Avery's most recent experience includes senior account management in marketing and outreach for a variety of clients in a wide range of therapeutic areas, including oncology, rheumatology, cardiology, and diabetes.

Prior to entering healthcare communications, Ms. Avery worked as a research technician in cancer immunology and neurobiology. As part of her responsibilities, Latasha performed small animal surgeries, as well as conducted and collected data for numerous research trials. 

Ms. Avery holds a BA in biology and psychology from Skidmore College and an MS in health services management and policy from New School for Public Engagement.

Ms. Avery is a native New Yorker who moved with her husband to Northern Virginia in 2012.  She is a voracious reader of all things from pop-culture 'news' to scientific articles, loves finding new recipes to test on family and friends and is working to perfect her golf swing.
